Catalan B2: If I had known: the pluperfect subjunctive · Words
For regrets about the past: si + pluperfect subjunctive (hagués + participle), then the conditional perfect (hauria + participle): Si ho hagués sabut, hauria vingut. In speech, hagués often appears in both halves: Si ho hagués sabut, hagués vingut. The conditional perfect alone says what would have happened: M’hauria agradat veure’t. The plusquamperfet is the imperfet of haver + participle: havia vist.
