German C2: Fine connectors: zumal, indem, insofern, wohingegen · Words

Precise writing needs precise links, and all of these send the verb to the end. zumal adds a reason that makes things even more so (all the more as). indem says how something is done (by doing). insofern … als limits a statement (in so far as). wohingegen and während contrast. sofern sets a condition (provided that); geschweige denn means “let alone”.
