El tercer condicional habla de un pasado que no ocurrió: if + past perfect, would have + participio: If I had known, I would have come. Para lamentarse: I wish / If only + past perfect (I wish I had studied more); para deseos sobre el presente, + past simple (I wish I had more time).

• wish — desear, lamentar
• if only — ojalá, si al menos
• regret — arrepentirse de

• had known — hubiera sabido

• luckily — por suerte

• If I had known, I would have come. — Si lo hubiera sabido, habría venido.
• I wish I had more time. — Ojalá tuviera más tiempo.
