English B2: Working from home: blessing or curse?
More and more people work from home. Write a post for an online forum giving your opinion.
Over the last few years, more and more people have started working from home, either full-time or for part of the week. What began as an emergency measure has now become normal for many. The advantages are obvious. You no longer waste time on a long commute, and you can organise your day more flexibly. People with children find it easier to combine family and work. What is more, many people concentrate better at home because colleagues are not constantly interrupting them. However, working from home also has its downsides. Personal contact is missing, and new employees hardly get to know their team. In addition, the line between work and free time becomes blurred: if your office is your living room, it is harder to switch off. In my view, a mix is the best solution. Two or three days in the office encourage people to share ideas, while the remaining days at home save time and nerves. In the end, each team should be free to choose the model that suits it best.
