French B1: Giving instructions: the imperative · Grammar

The imperative is the present without the subject: Viens ! Venez ! Allons-y ! -er verbs drop the s in the tu form: Mange !, Va !, except before y or en: Vas-y ! Pronouns follow the verb with a hyphen, and me becomes moi: Donne-le-moi. In the negative they go back in front: Ne me le donne pas. Irregular: sois, aie, sache.
