Latin A2: What will be: the future · Grammar

The future has two patterns. Verbs in -are and long -ere add -b-: amabo, amabis, amabit, amabimus, amabitis, amabunt; monebo. Verbs in short -ere and -ire change the vowel: regam, reges, reget, regemus, regetis, regent; audiam, audies. esse: ero, eris, erit, erimus, eritis, erunt. Careful: reges is “you will rule”, regis “you rule”.
