Latin B1: Captus, missus: the perfect participle · Phrases
The perfect passive participle is the fourth form in the dictionary (amo, amare, amavi, amatus) and works like bonus: captus, capta, captum. With esse it makes the perfect passive: urbs capta est (the city was taken), milites victi sunt (the soldiers were defeated). It agrees with its noun in gender, number and case. On its own it shortens a clause: puella vocata venit (the girl, having been called, came).
