Portuguese C1: Pronouns inside the verb: mesoclisis · Grammar

In formal European Portuguese, object pronouns go inside future and conditional verbs: dir-lhe-ei (I will tell him), far-se-ia (it would be done). Speech avoids it with ir + infinitive: Vou dizer-lhe. After não, in que clauses and after some adverbs, the pronoun goes before the verb instead: Não te direi. Espero que me digas.
